Pulse Electronic Magnetic Field Therapy

What is Pulse Electronic Magnetic Field Therapy – PEMF?

Pulsed Magnetic Therapy is an aid to helping the natural repair of injuries, it focuses on bringing balance back to the various frequencies emitted by the body by restoring the depleted levels of energy in injured or unhealthy cells. PEMF helps to establish the optimum conditions for healing to take place.

How can my dog benefit from PEMF?

Magnetic field therapy is a non-invasive form of treatment that may act as a form of pain relief in chronic degenerative conditions, which can speed the patient's recovery from traumatic injuries. Your companion can comfortably lay on the PEMF mat containing four coils at the start of thier hydrotherapy session. This allows the body to start working straight away before pool based therapy begins.

PEMF therapy, through different settings, is most often used to enhance healing from injuries and wounds or to treat chronic conditions, these include but are not limited to...

  • Degenerative joint disease

  • Osteoarthritis

  • Accelerate repair of bone and soft tissue damage

  • Relax muscles

  • Balance the immune system

  • Improve circulation, blood and tissue oxygenation, stress, blood pressure, nutrient uptake and cellular detoxification and regeneration

Can pulsed magnetic fields be used on my dog where a fracture has been pinned or plated?
Yes. Metals used in plating and pinning are not ferromagnetic. This means they cannot rust and also means they are generally unaffected by any magnetic fields.

Are there any contraindications?

It is advisable if you have a cardiac pacemaker or could be pregnant that you do not attend your dog’s session. Dogs and owners who have Cancer or puppies with open growth plates are also not advised to use PEMF.
